A Comparison of the Sociological Differences of Body Management between Woman and Men

Abstract

The aim of this research was studying the effects of social factors on body management comparing women and men living in Shiraz, Fars Province. The scope of this research included sports clubs, gyms, shopping centres and households located in Shiraz in 2012.  The sampling method in this research was accidental sampling of formula Kokranand, 380 people answered the questionnaire, aging 20-40 in the regions 1, 5, and 6. Pearson correlation, Independent T-Test, and One- way ANOVA were used to analyze the hypothesis.  Kendall and Multiple variable Regressions were used as well.  The results showed there were significant differences between males and females in body management .There were also significant relationships between mental factors and body management. Also there was a significant relationship between the two variables of social pressure and body management.  The results  showed that most indicators of independent variables (social forces and individual factors) which were studied in this research had some  effect on the dependent variable (body management).Multiple variable Regression analyses  showed that the effective independent factors on body management was not different between men and women.
