The Role of Violence in the Rate of Divorce Among Women

Abstract

In this study divorce was studied as the most important phenomena in human life, as a psychological and economic phenomenon, which influences all aspects of the population in terms of quantity and quality. In this study, a survey questionnaire was used. The stratified random sampling method was used and a sample of 444 people was selected. To assess the validity of both content and construct validity, Cronbach's alpha was used to estimate the reliability of the tests. The results both descriptive and analytical level was analyzed, using SPSS statistical software. The results showed that: 1) domestic violence in its various dimensions, was one of the main factors in the increase in divorce and community level, including the religious city of Qum, Iran. This two-way dialogue dimensions such as reduced self-esteem, and women standing between them, that tackle common fears and deal with the problems of increasing misbehavior in children and divorce statistics ; 2) there was a significant correlation between the separation or attempted separation and between young people  and divorce among married couples who consulted their parents; and 3) There was no  meaningful relationship between the confidence of women in social class and / or separation or attempted separation of women in a relationship does not exist.
