The study of emotional control styles as predictor Aggression in Girl Students

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between emotional control styles and aggression in female students of Shahid Chamran University. 100 female students were selected through clustral multistage random sampling. Emotional Control Questionnaire and Buss and Warren Aggression Questionnaire were used to collect data. For analyzing data canonical correlation was used. Structural coefficients showed that the pattern of high scores in benign control and rumination correlates with the pattern of low scores in hostility, anger, verbal aggression, indirect aggression and physical aggression. Therefore the finding of this research showed that the combination of low benign control and rumination can probably promotion hostility, anger, verbal aggression, indirect aggression and physical aggression. Therefore  we conclude that emotional control styles such as benign control and rumination can decrease anger and aggression people.
