Abstract

The present study investigates the effect of cultural and social factors on the tendency of early marriage of first and second grade female students in Babol. The statistical population includes all first and second grade high schools(14458) girls in Babol in 2019-2020. In this study, 102 students were selected by available random sampling. The statistical method in this study includes Pearson correlation and simple linear regression. In order to collect information, research tools including two standard questionnaires of 24 questions measuring the desire for early marriage and a questionnaire of 21 questions of cultural and social factors affecting early marriage were used. The results of testing the research hypotheses showed that cultural and social factors affect the tendency of early marriage The first and second female high school students of Babol city are effective with a significant level (0.001)Also, the use of mass media with a significant level (0.043), family residence with a significant level (0.016),Feeling of security of women with a significant level (0.000), parents' education with a level Significance (0.000) and ease of choosing a spouse on the tendency of early marriage of first and second grade female students in the city Babol are effective with a significant level (0.000). But socio-economic base with a significant level (0.102), relative distrust To women with a significant level (0.537) and traditional etiquette and behaviors with a significant level (0.130) on the tendency of early marriageThe first and second year high school girls in Babol were not recognized as influential.
